Limitations and Disclosures:

Since the Internet is a global electronic network, there is no government control of its users or content. The internet and its available resources may contain material of a controversial nature. In support of intellectual freedom, Parry Sound Public Library does not monitor or control information accessed or transmitted through the internet, and cannot be held responsible for its content. Parents or legal guardians of minor children must assume responsibility for their child's use of the internet through the library's connection. The library assumes no liability in the event the filter allows what may be deemed "inappropriate material."

The library's wireless and internet connection is not secure. Information sent to or from your notebook/laptop or the library's computers could potentially be intercepted by anyone else with a wireless device and the appropriate software. The library recommends that credit card information, passwords and any other sensitive personal information not be transmitted while using the library network.

The use of the library equipment and wireless access is a privilege, and inappropriate use will result in an immediate cancellation of this privilege. Parry Sound Public Library reserves the right to cancel membership and privileges at the sole discretion of the Chief Executive Officer.
